You would think that something as simple as chocolate molds would all be made well and work perfectly. Unfortunately this is not the case. This is the third brand of mold that I have purchased and the only one that did what it was suppose do without problems. It seems to be well made and I expect it to hold up well under moderate use. However, you cannot make hard candy with it or use it with really hot ingredients and it must be hand washed.Not only can you use this mold for chocolate, but I use it around the holidays (Christmas and the Fourth of July) as a butter mold. After filling the mold with soft butter I cover it with plastic wrap and then freeze it. The little star-shaped butter pats just pop out of the mold and make a garnish that even Martha Stewart would be proud of. I have this mold in this size and the one inch size and they both work just fine.
